COVID-19 Relief

COVID-19 Relief was an event on Roblox spreading awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic and collaborating with UGC creators and donating to three different organizations in the process. It started on April 30, 2020, and ended on June 30, 2020. It could have also ended when the nine items for the event received a total of 100,000,000 Robux combined (1,000,000 Robux / rate of 0.01 per Robux), but that did not happen before June 30. For the event, nine items were created and priced on-sale at different prices. Three items each were created for No Kid Hungry, UNICEF USA, and Code.org. On June 30, 2020, all items for the event went off-sale and a rate of $0.01 per Robux were soon donated to all three companies. Along with that, Roblox themselves will donate another $1,000,000 along with the $1,000,000 already received to "match what [the user] have spent amongst the three organizations." A day before the event, a video was published to Roblox's official YouTube channel named #WorldWishDay | A Message to Make-A-Wish Kids collaborating with other Roblox-related YouTubers to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic, possibly as a hint for the event.
