Getting started

What is Gunterverse?

Gunterverse is a social platform for Roblox event hunters ("gunters"). Think of it like Letterboxd, but for Roblox events: you can log events you've attended, rate and review them, build and share lists, show off the items and badges you've earned, climb speedrun leaderboards, unlock achievements, and follow other members.

How do I sign in? Do I need a password?

You sign in with your Roblox account using Roblox's official OAuth login. Just click Sign in with Roblox and approve the request on Roblox. We never see or store a password; Roblox handles the login and only tells us your basic profile info.

Is Gunterverse free?

Yes, completely free. There's an optional Supporter upgrade that unlocks cosmetic perks and removes ads, but every core feature is free.

Why does it ask for Roblox permissions, including my inventory? Is that safe?

We request read-only access to your basic profile and your inventory so we can verify the event items and badges you actually own and show them on your profile. We can't change anything on your Roblox account, we can't post as you, and we never receive your password. You can revoke access anytime from your Roblox account settings.

Why is the site invite-only / in beta?

Gunterverse is in a closed beta while we polish things and scale carefully. During this period some pages may be gated behind an access code. Features and design are still evolving, so expect frequent improvements.

Reviews & ratings

How do I rate or review an event?

Open any event page and click the Review button. Pick a star rating (½ to 5 stars), optionally write a review, and mark whether you attended. You can post a rating with or without written text.

Can I edit or delete my review?

Yes. Open your review (or the event) and use the Review button again to update it, or use the delete option on the review itself. Each member can have one review per event, so re-submitting updates your existing one rather than creating a duplicate.

What does "attended" mean?

It's a flag you can set to indicate you actually took part in the event (not just rated it from the outside). It shows a small "Attended" badge on your review.

Why can't I review a certain event?

Admins can temporarily lock ratings & reviews on an event, usually for events that haven't started yet or are under review. When that's the case the review button is disabled and the reviews section shows a "not available yet" notice. Check back later.

Is there a length limit on reviews?

Reviews can be up to 2,000 characters. Bios, comments, and most other text fields are capped at 255 characters. A live counter shows how much you have left as you type.

Can I comment on or like reviews?

Yes, you can like reviews and leave comments on them. Be respectful; comments are subject to the same rules as everything else and can be reported.

Lists

How do I create a list?

Go to Lists and create a new one, give it a title and description, and add events to it. You can reorder events, and other members can comment on your list.

Why do I need at least one event to make a list?

A list needs at least one event so it has something to show, including its banner. Empty lists aren't allowed.

What image is used as my list's banner?

The cover art of the #1 (top) event in your list is used as the list's banner automatically. Reorder your events to change it.

Profile, items & achievements

How do I set my Four Favorites and Favorite Items?

Open Settings → Favorites. Pick up to four favorite events and up to four favorite items you own (synced from your Roblox inventory). Drag to reorder them.

Why don't my owned items or badges show up?

Item and badge ownership is synced from your Roblox inventory, which has to be public for us to read it, and you must have granted inventory access when signing in. If things look out of date, give it a little time or re-sign-in to refresh the sync.

My avatar picture is outdated. How do I refresh it?

In Settings → Profile, click Refresh avatar to re-fetch your latest Roblox thumbnail.

Can I change my username or bio?

Your username is synced from Roblox and can't be changed here; update it on Roblox and it'll follow. You can edit your bio anytime in Settings. Supporters can add bold/italic/underline formatting to their bio.

What are speedrun leaderboards?

For events that have a completion badge, we track how quickly members earned it and rank them on a leaderboard. Top finishers can unlock special podium achievements.

How do achievements work?

You unlock achievements for doing things around the site: writing reviews, suggesting events, placing on speedrun podiums, and more. Unlocks pop up in real time, and you can see the ones you've earned on your profile.

How do I suggest a new event or fix an existing one?

Anyone can suggest a brand-new event or propose edits to an existing one. Suggestions go to our moderators for review before they go live, and contributing can earn you achievements.

Profile badges

What do the badges next to a username mean, and how do I get them?

Badges are small icons shown next to a member's name on their profile, reviews and comments. Here's every badge and how it's earned:

  • Developer / Owner — The people who build and run Gunterverse. Granted by the team; not publicly obtainable.
  • Administrator — Trusted staff who manage content, events and members. Appointed by the owners.
  • Moderator — Community moderators who review reports and keep things civil. Appointed by the team.
  • Supporter — Members on the Supporter upgrade (or who were gifted it). Unlocks cosmetic perks and an ad-free site.
  • Contributor — Members whose event suggestions or edits have been accepted, helping build the event database. Earned by contributing accepted events.
  • Beta Tester — Early members who helped test and shape the site during the closed beta. Granted by the team to active testers.
  • Bug Hunter — Members who reported a genuine bug that got fixed. Report real issues via Report an Issue and the team awards it.
  • Gifting — Members who have gifted Supporter to someone else. Earned automatically the first time you gift Supporter.

Tip: hover any badge on a profile to see its name.

Notifications

What notifications will I get, and can I control them?

You're notified about new followers, likes and comments on your reviews/lists, and results of your event suggestions. Open Settings → Notifications to toggle each category on or off. Achievement pop-ups always show.

What are desktop notifications?

If you enable them in Settings, your browser shows a pop-up when something happens while the Gunterverse tab isn't in view. You'll be asked for permission, and it only works on the device you enable it on. It works alongside the in-page toasts and the notification bell.

Why did I see a "realtime features" message?

Live notifications use a persistent connection that occasionally reconnects. If your connection drops for a while you may see a brief notice; it reconnects automatically and you don't need to do anything.

Supporter

What do I get as a Supporter?

Supporters get a Supporter badge on their profile and reviews, an ad-free experience, a custom site accent color, a two-color gradient ring around their avatar, bio text formatting, a custom profile banner, and more. See the Supporter page for the full list.

How do I become a Supporter?

Visit the Become a Supporter page and follow the checkout. Your perks unlock as soon as the payment is confirmed. Card purchases use Stripe; Robux purchases use the Gunterverse Roblox checkout experience.

Important: anything purchased through Robux is final and cannot be refunded by Gunterverse. This includes Supporter, Supporter gifts, event sponsorships, and badger sponsorships.

Can Robux purchases be refunded?

No. Purchases made through Robux are final and non-refundable. Gunterverse cannot refund Supporter, gifts, event sponsorships, or badger sponsorships purchased with Robux.

How do I set my avatar ring or accent color?

In Settings → Appearance, Supporters can pick a site accent color and choose two colors for a gradient ring around their avatar. Both update with a live preview before you save.

Account, safety & troubleshooting

How do I change the theme?

In Settings → Appearance you can pick Dark, Light, or AMOLED (pure black). Your choice is saved on that device.

How do I report a review, comment, list, or user?

Use the flag/report icon on the content itself, pick a reason, and add any details. Reports go to our moderators. Please don't abuse reporting; misuse can lead to action on your account.

Something is broken or looks wrong. What do I do?

Use Report an Issue in the footer (or the link above) to tell us what happened. Include what page you were on and what you expected; it helps us fix it faster.

How is my data handled?

We only use the Roblox data you authorize, to power your profile and features. For the full details see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
